Haley // Class of 2015
Haley is one of the sweetest and funniest people that I know. We’ve been friends since day one and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her as my school buddy during my last year at college. Here’s to many more adventures, laughs, late-night chats about meyers-briggs personality test, and walks in the park! Thanks for filling my life with a little more sunshine, Haley.

Postcard sets available!
I’ve opened an Etsy shop to sell postcard prints of some of my favorite photographs. The images on each of the cards are from either my hometown in Washington, the Oregon coast, or different parts of Europe . All postcards are printed locally in Washington, USA.
Here’s a look at a few of the sets that are available! They’d make a great christmas or birthday gift, Folks!
On the writing side of the postcard there is a short description of where each photo was taken.
Follow this link to my Etsy Shop to check out the full selection of postcards and the prices.

Fall this year has been perfect for picture taking.
Last weekend I got to take photos of my brother-in-law and sister out on the farm where they are staying. I treasure any time that I get to spend with them, since they are headed back to Myanmar in the new year.
You can go to this link to follow their journey!
About the Name
“My sole devotion
My only focus
To worship You
My life surrendered
My heart abandoned
For more of You”
The lyrics to the song finally made sense to me that morning on the drive into school. Later on in the day I was quizzing a friend on her upcoming church history test.
“What are the five solae” I read off the sheet to her.
The internet defines the Five Solae as “five fundamental beliefs of the Protestant Reformation, pillars which the early Reformers believed to be essentials of the Christian life and practice”.
I looked ahead at the answer because I didn’t know it off the top of my head. The answer I found written beautiful written at the bottom of the page:
- Sola Fide, by faith alone.
- Sola Scriptura, by Scripture alone.
- Solus Christus, through Christ alone.
- Sola Gratia, by grace alone.
- Soli Deo Gloria, glory to God alone.
(The Latin word sola means “alone” or “only” in English)
It was a beautiful summary of the basis of my faith. I love the complexity of the Bible and it’s stories–but I also love how it can be summed up so simply for us to remember.
And the five solae are exactly how I want to live my life. All through Fide (faith), through basing my actions off of Scriptura (Scripture), through the power of Christus (Christ) in me, through theGratia (Grace) that he graciously gives to me, that I might give it to others, and finally, Sola Deo Gloria (glory to God alone). I can only hope that every action, word, thought, and deed, will be to the glory of my Creator.
And I will fail. But that’s the beauty of the gospel–Christ is there to offer grace to me even on days when I fall on my face.
So, back to the reason why you came to this page . . . why did I choose the name Sola Photography?
Because I pray that in every part of my life, even in this photography, Christ will be glorified.
